The colour of Life...                                                                                                                                                                          

This is my version of the Mexican Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Sugar Skulls. I love the macarbre beauty of the use of skulls,  (which is usually seen as quite sinister but lets face it, it's your head) decorated to celebrate life. Usually you'd see a skull in white decorated in black or colour but I thought it'd be nice to throw as much colour onto a canvas as possible and paint the skull outline in white.
