When I was a kid I loved to draw. Specifically superheroes; Spider-man, Superman, Spawn...I used to buy comics and draw out my favourite pictures from them. I loved the bold bright colours of them and I loved the 'freedom' of the heroes.When I got a bit older my taste moved to the more monochromatic hard style of noir comics.How the artist managed to show so much detail in a picture, without using any colour at all literally blew my mind! Now, slightly older again I've found myself attempting to display ideas of freedom and emotion through the bright coloured flight of a bird, the beating of a heart in love or broken to the black and white view of life that can be just as, if not more beautiful in it's simplicity.
